Lake Michigan Sailing Hall of Fame
Peter W. Reichelsdorfer has been elected to the Lake Michigan Sailing Hall of Fame. He was inducted at his home grounds Sheboygan Yacht Club on Wednesday May 11, 2011.
Peter has devoted more than a life time to the sport sailboat racing, including an impressive run of 45 Chicago Mackinacs, 26 Port Huron Mackinacs, 1 Trans Superior, 5 Saint Petersburg to Fort Lauderdales, champion navigator on Apage Two Too in 1984 in the SORC and many races on Lake Michigan.
Even with all of that time spent on the water, he also added volumes to the sport through work on the ORR Rating system and Sailing Yacht Research Foundation, to name just two highlights.
